1. I am using the following syntax to install notes on my clients

setup.exe /s /v"REMOVEFEATURES=SametimeUI SETMULTIUSER=1 MULTIUSERBASEDIR=Y:\ MULTIUSERCOMMONDIR=C:\ /qn+"

My issue is that I am unsure how to add the two paths "MULTIUSERBASEDIR & MULTIUSERCOMMONDIR" to the install shield tuner to create the MST

MULTIUSERBASEDIR and MULTIUSERCOMMONDIR are properties and can be added to the property table with their values. Like this:





2. If I change the way in which notes is installed (single install with the data redirected to a network share), to a multi user install with the above setup. Can smart upgrade remove the old setup and migrate to the new way with new paths?

No, the installer itself doesn't have the capabilities to do the migration (yet). But we have released a tool MultiUser Migration Assistant (MUMA) in Notes 8.5.3 that will do this exact migration for you. You can run it before you do the upgrade or after.
